    1. Briefly, what have you done personally or professionally since high school?
    2. Soon after Jim and I got married we moved to Asia for 23 years. We lived in Japan, Singapore and Korea. During our time in Asia I became interested in Asian antiques. I sold Korean antique chests in Singapore and when we moved to Korea, I traveled all of Asia to buy antiques to be sold in a Korean Antique Store. It is kind of ironic that my occupation was a professional “BUYER”, Everyone knows I love to shop!

    3. What was your motivation for joining ALTA?
    4. In 1995 Jim was transferred to his Company’s International Headquarters in Raleigh. We bought a container of Asian antiquities to sell in Raleigh. I opened two booths one in Raleigh and one in Wake Forest. This keep me busy, but I wanted to learn about Raleigh, so I joined Raleigh Newcomers. After a year of learning about my new community, I decided to give back by joining other newcomers to start the Assistance League of the Triangle Area. When we became the 104th Chapter I served as President for two years. After participating in many small fundraisers my main goal was to start a Thrift Shop and look at us now!

    5. Please, tell us something about you we may not know or something about you that is unique or unexpected.
    6. My husband collects and restores classic cars of the 20’s and 30’s. We like to go to car shows and wear period clothing. Jim is a Senior Master Judge and I am going to school to learn to be a Judge. We also drive our old cars on tours, we can have as many as 60 cars, all older then 1927, traveling around the country. We are active in three car clubs in Raleigh.
