Community Outreach

The Outreach Program was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic to bridge the gap between existing social services and emergency needs of women, children and families in Wake, Durham and Orange counties.

In addition to disaster relief, the Outreach Program joins forces with the Assistance League of the Triangle Action Program to address urgent community needs. Together the programs address food shortages through:

  • Local Food Drives: Supporting area food banks.
  • Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (C.H.I.P.P.) Backpack Program: Providing essential weekend nutrition for Orange County elementary students facing food insecurities.
