  1. Briefly, what have you done personally or professionally since high school?
  2. Since high school I worked for IBM in numerous capacities. I began as a trainee in management development and retired as a Compensation Program Manager/Consultant. While working, often with a 90% travel job, I completed my BS with Honors and pursued certifications. I followed that career with the same duties as a Director in Fidelity Investments managing compensation for companies being acquired and merged.

  3. How long have you lived in Raleigh/Cary/Durham?
  4. I relocated to Raleigh, NC in 1994 as part of the centralization of resources in IBM. I needed a couple of years to reach retirement eligibility and thought this would give me a chance to live in another area of the country.

  5. What was your motivation for joining ALTA?
  6. I learned about the successful fund raiser this organization had with Christmas tree sales. Christmas is my favorite holiday so this really peaked my curiosity. I then went to an information meeting and learned about the Chapter and its mission. From that discussion, I knew I wanted to work with this organization of strong and determined women to better my community. I had been a very active community volunteer in the Atlanta area and saw this as a chance to begin that in Raleigh.

  7. Please, tell us something about you we may not know or something about you that is unique or unexpected.
  8. While many of you know the above, you also know I prefer to keep my private life just that. However, you probably don’t know that I am the proud grandmother of five young men and great grandmother of a darling 1 year old and 3 year old.
